State of the art ales
Our purpose-built brewery can produce up to 22,400 thirst-quenching litres – a massive increase in volume from the original 4,800 litres output in the old milking parlour where it all began.
But as they say, with great volume comes great responsibility and Sam; the MD and master brewer certainly knows his craft. The skills he brings in ale development have seen us taking the plaudits on many occasions, in SIBA sponsored and other industry recognised competitions.
And that attention to detail is throughout the brewing process, including the use of our own South Hams Drinks yeast: SHB 35 year strain.
Devon Pride
A dark amber coloured beer, with a fruity aroma. This beer defies its abv with a surprising amount of body. Smooth to drink, with a malty palate and plenty of fruitiness to the finish.

A smooth, modern mild session ale, crafted using a blend of Marris Otter malt, Wayermann roasted barley and Belgian biscuit malt, with just a hint of hoppyness to the finish – in this dark, ruby-copper coloured classic brew.

A light pale ale with a hoppy finish. The deep flavour of this brew is, in part, down to the bready undertones so you are getting good depth of flavour at a lower abv.

This dark copper/red colour beer is brilliantly smooth.

Black + White
A traditional milk Stout, light on the after taste, using speciality malts and exotic hops. Not too bitter – as smooth as a pinta! It contains lactose sugar for sweetness and gives a delightful creamy feel to the beer.
